How to Use Eye Compresses
Place two eye compress tea bags in boiling water and remove from the heat source. Allow tea to steep 30 seconds. Remove from hot water. Place tea bags in a plastic baggie and put in the refrigerator to get cold or chill them overnight. Take chilled bags out of baggie and squeeze gently over sink to get rid of excess moisture Find a quiet comfortable place to recline or lie down. Set a timer for 15 minutes. Lean back and place tea bags on closed eyelids making direct contact with the puffy areas under and around your eyes, relax until the timer goes off. Allow eye compress tea bags to air dry between uses before resealing in zip lock bag. Reuse tea bags, repeating step above. Throw bags away once excess moisture starts to run clear when squeezed. |
